Something epic is emerging…

The next collection, No. 39, is on the horizon. And it’s expanding how oak plays a part of our story.

ODUOAK scents are memories recreated in aromatic form. Elements of the place, people, drinks, seasons - a moment entombed in a bottle. With every spray, they vanish into thin air. This is a form of transmutation, turning hard learned lessons into wisdom, morphing pain into pleasure, and diluting the personal relevance as more and more people make the scents part of their own story.

Every collection has a theme, every bottle, a backstory. Collection No. 37 was reflective of a chapter full of life changing realizations while swimming in a pool of whiskey. No. 38 was a heartbreak, to the fullest degree, or so I thought. Collection No. 39 is a result of what truly was a shattering of my emotional body as I knew it. I have described it as tossing a tanning bed light bulb into a dumpster, the pieces so destroyed they resemble dust more than glass. Designing scents which reflected the sensory memories of that endeavor didn’t do it justice. I needed a new type of paint to truly honor the depth. This collection is a manifestation of what happened after learning to embrace that which all humans will ultimately face: death.

Death of a person, of a dream, of a future, of an entire perspective on the divinity which connects all things.

Scent alone could not carry the magnitude of the subject. It felt cheap to apply the same methods I had been up to that point. This wasn’t a moment to try to dissipate a person I loved so deeply. It was a call to share the vibrational energy they once gifted so many with. Collection No. 39 is a formulation which not only captures the aromatics of a setting, but calibrates the wearer’s etheric energy with the actual feeling of the circumstance. By intentionally gathering and blending etheric flower essences, emotion is inspired on both a physical sensory level, as well as an etheric one. Each bottle of ODUOAK parfum etherique contains a unique blend of essences to best express the vibrational energy of their backstories. All are anchored with the essence of oak, collected from the specific ancient tree in Maine who was an actual participant in the stories which inspired the collection.
